Whew, this has been a very busy week. First there was SXSW then the announcement of the upcoming Sedo auction, followed by the .com 25th anniversary.

Starting today, we’re announcing an updated offering of .tv premium domain names that will be available through an expanded .tv registrar channel. To see a list of the registrars that are currently participating, click here.

For those that might not recognize the term “premium .tv domain names”, it includes one, two and some three character domain names as well as simple, one-word common generic domain names such as share.tv, international.tv and awe.tv. In addition, we are changing the renewal model to align with secondary market registrations and it will become a standard Registry renewal fee.

The increased distribution channel for these names will give end users more options to find a premium .tv domain name while continuing to support the growing awareness of the .tv top level domain and further solidify .tv as the must-have address for online video.
